Kaukauna"s resident pair of bald eagles are the proud parents of triplets this
spring.Hatching occured about April 6, 1998.The three babies bring the grand total of sooty eaglets born in Kaukauna since
1988 to 23. The bald eagles' nest, located in the 1000 Islands Conservancy,
continues to be one of the most productive in the state.

The adult pair have produced multiple offspring three years in a row-1991,
1992, 1993- and again in 1995. Twins in 1988, 1996, &1997.

DNR officials will retrieve one of the babies for blood testing and banding
purposes again this year before the youngsters fledge the nest probably in
late May.
