Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/02/1998

Number: 1

It's been cool and rainy around here this spring, and there hasn't been as much opportunity to watch for monarchs as in the past few years. This sighting and the last one we reported from April 28 took place on two of our sunnier days, with temperatures in the low 70's. The butterflies were all flying around open field areas, and their wings were bright and undamaged.
