My colleague, Mary Hayes, called early this morning to report the first Hummingbird of the season in Horseheads, NY. She had her feeder up and ready as I had been sharing the migration information from Jouney North with her and her class of First Graders. This evening as my family sat down for dinner, our first Hummingbird came to eat his dinner right outside our kitchen window. His visit was preceded a day earlier by the Indigo Bunting, another beauty!
