Oriole (1st Baltimore)

Date: 05/17/1998

Number: 1

Finally, A Monarch sited on May 17, 1998. Also, FINALLY, we heard and saw a Baltimore Oriole ! ! ! They are later than the Monarchs. They are usually here when the leaves are just coming out of the buds on the oak trees. The leaves now have their full size which makes it harder to see the birds. But yesterday the male that we saw called and called and called. It was not to difficult to follow his movement through the trees.
