Yesterday, 5/19, I received two reliable reports of monarch sightings in late afternoon in the Toledo area. One was reported by the chief naturalist at Maumee Bay State Park along the SW shore of L. Erie. The other by a person living on the edge of Toledo who does a lot of gardening. I checked numerous milkweed patches yesterday morning but found no eggs and saw no monarchs but the above two reports are reliable.
