The temp. was 80 degrees. No wind. Sunny. No precipitation. The weather was sunny & warm. It was a female butterfly. The wings were brightly colored and looked okay. It was bigger than a viceroy and it had a deeper color. It was flying north.The local flowers were lilacs. Not sure the height of the milkweed. I saw 2 that day.I watch for monarchs all the time.
