I was on the bay side of the Cape today and I saw a monarch butterfly! July
first. a little later than last year, but they're here. After I came home
and I saw one in my yard! I've been looking and looking and as soon as I
give up, one appears. I can't wait to see more. It had new wings so I
figured it was pretty young. We have lots of milkweed, so I'll go check for
eggs. There probably won't be any, but it's worth a shot. Just in time for
my butterfly bush to bloom!
