Fourth summer of turning our back yard into a wildscape ... we
added four 4 ft by 16 ft raised beds this summer ... one is a
Monarch bed (A.curassavica, A.tuberosa, coneflowers, and asters),
second is a salvia bed (12 varieties of salvia and Mexican sages), third is a lantana bed, and the fourth is a "nursery bed"
where we start/hold new plants that we want to add. Back yard is
85% covered with beds, decking we built, or the 2 ponds. Butterflies visited all summer (esp the swallowtails) and the hummers have just returned and prefer the flowers. Harlen and Altus Port Lavaca TX 77979
