Stan Anderson of Gotha (S. of Cologne, Carver County) observed about 2,000 migrating monarch butterflies. They were clustering on green ash trees in his yard. It was raining most of the day so they continued to cluster most of the day. In the past few days the monarchs had been nectaring on red clover flowers on a field nearby.
