I finally saw my first Monarch of the season today at 10:30 AM. It looked brightly coloreD AND VERY LIVELY. In speaking to a Park Ranger at Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Co. she stated she had only recorded 3 Monarchs in her field noted from nature walks this season. Hopefully we will catch sightings in the fall trip.
