I have only seen 1 Monarch all summer-in late June, until today. While driving home, I saw 1 Monarch fly by. On 9/3/98, I saw 3 Monarchs while out driving. I do know that they have been here, however because on 9/3/98 I collected 10 caterpillars of all sizes, 8 eggs, and 1 chrysalis from the milkweed patch on my family farm in Gallatin, Tn. I brought these into my classroom to raise, tag, an release.
