Since the first week in September,we have begun seeing more and more monarchs, usually one or two at a time, on a daily basis. I have been checking the millkweed in my yard and in the school gardens and finally found larva eating the leaves on September 3rd.
This is the usual time of year for us to begin to see monarchs, even though many things were ahead of the season this summer.
Hope this is of help.
