Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/08/1998

Number: 1

After a summer of nearly no monarch sightings, we now have quite a little "flock" in our Racine, WI backyard. As many as five at one time were feeding on the buddleia bush. These did not look like migrants; their wings were brightly colored and untattered. My assumption is that they were hatched in the area and will soon get the message to move south. They were feeding vigorously!
