The nights have just begun to grow cold here. The leaves on some of the more sensitive trees ( locusts ) are beginning to turn a yellow- green. There are still birds in the area, but I have not seen a Monarch in at least 2 weeks. The grass, which was mostly brown due to a very dry summer, is beginning to green up again. Even though frost is right around the corner, I am still picking ripe tomatoes at home. The days have yet to
show a fall appearance.
