We (my two sons and I) have raised, tagged and released 25 Monarchs to date. Most larva were found in late July through August on swamp milkweed around our pond. On our farm, we have seen several of our tagged Monarchs feeding on the butterfly bushes, but have also sighted at least 8 Monarchs not tagged. Several were seen hanging on a dogwood tree in full sun, trying to warm up as the last few days here have seen temps in the low 60's. We still have 15 chrysallis yet to hatch. We've also seen many Monarchs flying in nearby fields.
