Just wanted to let you know, we never saw a Monarch in our yard this year until 8/11! The one we saw was visiting our butterfly garden. I assume she was a new Monarch who was already heading south to Mexico, or who would be heading south soon. We sad about it, since last year, as in previous years, we saw quite a few Monarchs heading north in the Spring. We are also surprised, because our butterfly garden has had it's best year this year since we started it several years ago. We've had MANY skippers, butterflies and LOADS of Hummingbird moths this year, but no Monarchs until 8/11.
