Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/05/1998

Number: 1

My student have now had two solid weeks of training on what to
look for when identifying a monarch and the best places to find
them. We have a large field out in the back of our school ( 25
acres in all ). Yet, there have been few monarch sightings: one
Sat, Sept. 5th, one the week before, and one just last
Wednesday. We can not yet be sure if this is due to the fact that my students needed to be trained first what to look for,or if there just aren't that many Monarchs left in the region. In either case, I am confident my students at least know what to look for in this field study.
