After a five day Candian High that brough partly cloudy and cool weather in the 60's and low 70's on Saturday September 12th the high passed and we had a beautiful 80 degree day with clear blue skies. I saw no Monarchs in my butterfly garden on the prior five days but on Saturday it had a constant influx of Monarchs all day. They were nectaring on Buddliea davidi all day. My top count an one time was 14 Monarchs nectaring. There was a preponderance of Males in the group. Curiously on Sunday the 12th the weather was in the mid 70's and not a Monarch to be seen in the butterlfy garden all day.
