Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/19/1998

Number: 1

Spending the whole day outdoors was great for sighting Monarchs. The weather was sunny, pleasantly warm, breezy and not humid. We saw 3-4 Monarchs which were not feeding or heading directly south, but flitting about here and there. The highlight of the day, though, was the finding of one Monarch larva, the first found this season. Hope it will stay a caterpillar until school starts again on Tuesday! (It may not as it is big.)
