Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/19/1998

Number: 1

The temperature has finally dropped and today September 20 we saw the most Monarchs we've seen. Many of them that we saw were along the roads and highways. They seemed to be in groups of 3-6 in certain areas. They were also treetop level instead of flying closer to the ground the way they had been earlier. We have made our paper Monarchs to send to Mexico by October 9, we certainly are excited about their trip south also. We have really enjoyed reading about the sightings and have included the 6th grade class to help us find the different places on the map.
