Greetings Journey South participants. We would like to ask you to be on the look-out for two monarch males (Raoul- tag no. 66045634 and Pedro- tag no. 66045635) who were tagged and released on September 17 and 18 from St. Peters School in Trenton. We have also tagged and released three females- Maria- tag no. 66045568 and Mariposa- tag no. 66045569 on September 19 from Madoc Ontario, and Francesca-tag no. 66045592 who was released September 22 at St. Peters School in Trenton. Francesca began her flight at supper time when the sun finally came out. We had frost last night and the weather in Trenton on September 23, the first official day of fall is clear skies, sunny, but only +3 degrees Celsius. There are two chrysalids which will become butterflies today. We will tag and release them as soon as they are ready. Then we will have only one chrysalid left! Please watch for our friends as they journey south!
