We saw monarchs hatch from their crysalises. It was neat to watch. We watched them take off for Mexico. Our whole class together saw about 56 monarchs in the last two weeks in September. We were looking at home and at school. Our teacher said that there were fewer caterpillars this year. We think the population may be going down. The milkweed is turning yellow and dying.
