While driving from Derby, Kansas to Wichita State University, about fifteen miles, I counted 98 monarchs which crossed my path. It was about 8:45-9:15 am, probably about 75 degrees and very light wind. The route is a state four lane highway (K-15), an interstate highway (135) and a city street (21st Street.)
