Hawk migration in full swing! The Texas Hawk Watch site at Calallen (west of Corpus Christi) had a count of 306,975 hawks on Saturday (the 26th) ........306,766 were Broad-winged Hawks. On Sunday (the 27th) they had a count of 113,111 hawks.....102,845 were Broad-winged Hawks. We have been counting from Port Lavaca to Victoria and have a weekend total of 310 hawks.....226 which were Broad-winged Hawks. Has been most fascinating participating in the hawk count.
