Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/29/1998

Number: 1

We saw one monarch on Wednesday, 9/23, one monarch on 9/25, and one monarch on Saturday 9/26. Each monarch we saw was feeding, though we do not know as of yet what it was feeding on. Today, we saw 16 monarchs! It appeared to us that the monarchs may have been laying eggs. We saw them out behind our school when we went on a search for monarchs. The temperature was 88 degrees, the wind breezy, and it is worth noting that Hurricane Georges came by our area, though did not affect it very much outside of high winds and above average rainfall.
