Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/27/1998

Number: 1

On 9/27/98, while watching an open air concert on the south end of Lake George, my daughter and I watched one Monarch after another slowly working their ways south. It was over cast, and 60 deg F with a 10-15 mph westerly breeze that kept pushing the monarchs out over the water. They looked like they were they were trying to stay parallel with the west shore of the which runs NNE to SSW. We saw 12 separate monarchs in a 45 min period.
