The last full week of September we saw three monarchs. One on a highway among goldenrod, one on a trout stream on plants, and one flying. This weekend went back to trout stream. There were no monarchs, no dragonflies, no yellow and black butterflies either. In fact no flying insects of any kind. Our first real frost was Friday. I think the Monarchs are gone till spring.
