Signs of Fall

Date: 10/05/1998

Number: 1

The 1st Madoc Cubs were out hiking yesterday around Moira Lake in Eastern Ontario. They report several flocks of Canada Geese migrating through their area. The first migrating flock passed through Madoc on September 20 this fall, according to a local resident who records migration information every year. The cubs have also sent their female monarch on her way to Mexico on October 3. We have had frost for the last three nights, but the weather in the daytime has been really great! The leaves are falling from the trees but they aren't turning the brilliant oranges and yellows that we usually get because we didn't get alot of rain this summer.
