The third grade classes at Donoho School in Anniston, Alabama, have spotted the first Monarchs since early summer. On October 6 and 7, our students spotted a total of four Monarch butterflies flying around the school grounds. Hopefully we will see many more in a few day, as a cool front is predicted to push through our state. It has been a very hot, dry, and longer than usual summer here.
