We have a certified Schoolyard Habitat on our playground. I have not been able to add it to the map. I only get listing of those already posted. Please send directions on how to add it to the map.
We planted a couple of Milkweed plants late summer. We had two Monarch larvae visit. Our milkweed has all been eaten and looks very dead. Unfortunately we haven't located any chrysalides or Monarchs visiting. We are participating in the "symbolic migration". Our entire district is participating under the direction of our Spanish teacher, Mrs. Katie White.
We are also participating in a bird watch with the IL Audubon Society Nov-Feb. We will be recording visitors and food consumption. In the spring we would like to link our web page, now under construction to the NWF site.
