Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/07/1998

Number: 1

Sighted 10 monarch @ about 7:00 p.m. on the campus of the University of Science and Arts of OK (U.S.A.O.)(Chickasha). The monarchs were resting on a very large Wegelia Bush. They were opening and closing their wings. The temperature today was about 75, with not wind, and no cloud cover. Usually the monarchs, make an overnight stop in an old growth of bodarc (horseapple trees) and cottonwood trees behind the library sometime during the fall. Today, I only sighted about 3 solitary monarchs by the bodarc trees, they were flying.
