Between the hours of 9:00am and 11:00 am, Wednesday, Oct. 7,1998 a flock of monarchs(200 or so) flew over the elementary school playground. the butterflys were big and bright and healthly looking. They stopped and drank dew from the grass. It was a very cool morning. the butterflies were flying due south at a pretty rapid pace. Sometimes it would be just a few together and then you would look up and their would be 20 or so together.
