Signs of Fall

Date: 10/08/1998

Number: 1

Today we sighted a flock of about 500 blackbirds(starlings) flying over our school in circles, then they headed in a southernly direction at 7:45 a.m. The birds had been gathering all week.

We had our first frost this week, so the trees in our area have begun to change to yellow, red, and orange. The maples seem to be one of our early changers along with the sumac.
