I don't know whether this is significant, but I have 5 monarch caterpillars on the milkweed plant in my backyard. This means that some time or other, there had to be one or more monarchs there. I am observing them each day and when they turn into butterflies, which will undoubtedly migrate to Mexico, I will again record my signtings.
