We were hiking in Lost Maples State Park and we saw literally THOUSANDS of monarch butterflies! They were moving in swarms, all going the same direction... Later, when driving home (to Houston), we continued to drive through many butterflies, until reaching I-10 in San Antonio... It was very sad to drive through (and thus kill) so many butterflies, but I know that many will make it to Mexico. Thanks for a great web site!
