We counted Monarchs starting last Friday, October 9th, and they were coming through about 25 an hour. No HUGE flocks like they usually travel. They continued about the same until last night.(10/14/98). The winds are very strong (30-35mph) out of the south and have only seen a few since noon yesterday. A big storm is coming in tomorrow through Saturday so we will watch and see. They are ALL flying low (most of the time they are very high in the sky)? They are also in remarkably GOOD condition, and lots of females (more than males by far).
