Large groups of monarchs sighted flying south. We counted over 70 in a ten minute span of time. A cold front had arrived two days prior to this sighting. We had not seen a monarch in Dallas until this time. The day was warm and sunny. The temperature was 80 degrees with a light wind. The time was 5:00 PM. We continued to see large numbers of monarchs the next day.
