I saw a Monarch on a butterfly bush around 5:30 pm. The Monarch was in excellent condition. Tempertaure was 78 degrees with scattered clouds and light south winds.
Sightings have been few compared to the fall 1997 migration. I just returned from at trip to south central Tennessee. I saw two Monarchs near Winchester TN and one Monarch near Fayetteville TN. We are expecting a strong cold front to move thru later this week. Maybe it will bring us a wave of Monarchs.
