Ms. Culbertson's first grade students planted 20 Red Emperor tulip bulbs in the school garden. We measured 7 inches down (using our unifix cubes) as we dug our holes and made sure the pointed ends were sticking up. It was a very cold and wet day but they are now tucked away in their bed for winter and we hope to see beautiful red blooms early next spring.
