Nov 15 98: The late fall monarchs keep visiting our butterfly garden, nectaring and laying eggs on the A. curassavica. Today the A.c. was visited by 2 females and 2 males. Six new eggs were deposited today, 11 Saturday, 15 on Friday and 37 on Wednesday and Thursday. The monarchs that are arriving now in mid-November are breeding and laying eggs. They are in good shape with good color only only show a slight amount of wear on the scales. We will be raising larvae to the end of November and will be releasing local monarch butterflies in mid-December. Harlen and Altus http://www.homestead.com/vcs
