The 7th grade classes of Belleville Henderson have finally finished planting 100 tulip bulbs in the front lawn of our school. We had a difficult time getting the soil ready for planting. The soil was full of stones and of very poor quality. We did soil tests for pH, nitrogen, potassium, and phosporus and found we had to add some peat moss and manure as fertilizer. It was also very difficult to dig up and work the soil. There still has been no snow here and the weather unseasonably warm.
