Today the weather was sunny and the temperature registered a balmy 69 degrees. After we discussed what we knew about tulip bulbs and thought about what we wanted to know, we talked about how to plant our tulips to be a part of a scientific study. My seven second graders laid out the Red Emperor tulip bulbs and measured four inches between each of them. Then they had a delightful time digging their holes and planting the bulbs. We have a great deal to learn and will eagerly watch their growth!
