Tulips are finally planted. After nearly 3 weeks of unseasonably warm weather, the 50 Emperor Tulip bulbs are planted. Average daily temperatures are approximately 22 degrees above the normal temperature range of 40 degrees. Little of any precipitation has fallen during the autumn and approaching winter. Erie City and Erie County are currently under burning bans until further notice. Today, 12/07/98 temperature is approx. 44 degrees; barometric pressure is 30.14 and falling, winds are from the NE at 8mph, 71% humidity with a dewpoint of 35 degrees. Sky conditions are overcast and cloudy for the entire day.
