Our second grade class made a Butterfly garden.We put compost, manure,and sand in the soil. We planted Milkweed seeds for the monarchs to lay their eggs on.We also planted a Butterfly bush and purple cone flowers. It looked good.We watered it.We took a tree away that didn't belong there and it would make more shade. We are going to put in stepping stones so we can get balls that get kicked in accidently from the playground. After Christmas we are going to plant prairie flower seeds in our Gro Lab in the classroom to make baby plants to put out in the garden in the spring. We can hardly wait til butterflies find our garden!
