Our second grade class planted their tulip bulbs on November 24th in a nearby garden area. Many of the bulbs had a circumference of 5 inches and weighed 25 grams. We have made predictions about when the bulbs will emerge and bloom. Everyone is waiting in anticipation for the coming of spring.
Last week we dissected tulip bulbs and examined its many parts. We tried to determine where the flower would emerge. Many children thought the yellow part would produce the flower. We will see.
