Signs of Fall

FINALLY! We just had an American Robin in the backyard!
We have been getting reports from TxBirds that they have made
it down into the Texas valley and now they have made a showing
along the mid coast. I was watching Monarchs from inside the
house and got to see a hummingbird with some rufous, a Blue Jay,
White-winged Doves, an immature Cooper's Hawk stir things up,
several Yellow-rumped Warblers, and then the usual "others".

We may have a real "Texas" winter down here. It has already
gotten to a low of 39 here and an entire day in the 40's. The last
two days have been clear and into the upper 60's. We are still
having a few Monarchs show up here and in Victoria.
