We planted our tulips after a long, chilly sleep in the refrigerator. We have to be careful about giving them too long to chill. After 7 or 8 weeks there is a decline in their firmness. We planted bulbs in wooden containers to avoid those charming Florida nematodes. They seem to nibble on everything underground.
