Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/29/1999

Number: 1

Jan 29,1999
Each year ,around this time, my yard (I live in the suburbs)
is covered with Robins. They don't stay in the area long-a week maximum. While they are here I try to provide as much feed and water as possible and they find an abudant(abet somewhat messy) supply of some sort of berry or nut, and then they are gone. They appear to work in conjunction with the numerous Jays and Mocking Birds and Mourning Doves in the area as far as protection from predators(we have a pair of Red Tailed Hawks in the area and several ferral cats. I am curious about where they come from and where they go(I assume back up North.)I'd like to be of service in the study of these birds.
