We planted 4 tulip gardens because there are 4 groups of G/T grade 3 students! Tulips have emerged in 2 of the gardens; there are 3 emerged in one garden and 4 in another. Two gardens still have no tulips emerged. The interesting thing is that they have emerged in the gardens planted last! (They were planted 4 days apart.) The fall season was warm on Long Island; now it's been cold- below freezing on many nights. We hope our tulip tips do not freeze. It will be interesting to see which are larger, the ones that emerged early or late. All 4 gardens are within 3 feet of each other.
