At High Park School in Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada we've "Unpaved the Way" by replanting a 200m x 100m area of our school ground. Since 1994 we've planted over 500 seedlings and shrubs to welcome back the plant and birdlife who one inhabited this storage area for construction materials. We call it "Welcome Back". Our environmental education class will be maintaining the area - this year adding birdhouses and feeders - until 2004.
